Fourth lookbook from Roots Inc.

From the very beginning we have wanted to evolve and build up with our own customers and followers -the Roots Inc. Family. That is the route we have chosen even before we started this journey that is currently shaping to be an amazing one.

With this lookbook we wanted to give something back to the ones who have supported us from the get go, our customers. They are truly the people who able this for us and we stand proudly beside them, not above them.

We arranged a competition on our social media sites in which the winners would be chosen to do a photoshoot with Roots Inc. We simply asked ”Why do you wanna be a promoter for us?” and valued those who knew what we're about and made an effort in the competition. Eventually we chose 4 people to the shoots, despite the fact we were meant to pick only two.

In fifteen minutes from their arrival to the photoshoot it was clear the decision was right on each one of them. Welcome to the Family once again: Janika Kemppainen, Miika Isometsä, Lisa Nicole Kangas and Ville Latvala! YOU GUYS TRULY ROK!

Bun fun & bralette

Woke up today with a little flu, but that's not a big thing for an entrepreneur! Got up and started shooting, because I had promised to add few items to the stock today. Here's one of the items I shot today, a fully handmade bralette with cool zipper details on backside.

I prefer to wear these kind of tops with nothing underneath, because I think this works great if you are small chested -cute and chic look at the same time. And if you are wearing a top like this, do mix and match it with any pair of highwaist jeans to make sure the look is chic instead of cheap ;)
I chose my bleached carrot highwaist jeans to complete this look, it highlights my waist nicely.

As you may know by now Roots Inc. is not inspired by one specific genre but by the grassroots of the youth culture and lifestyle. For us it means mixing and matching different pieces to reflect your own personality and state of mind. Whatever the mood or genre, we like to think that our clothes are flexible to your individual style. You can have your well-established and own signature look, or simply changing it up day to day.
-We promise you, we will keep spicing it up with our ever changing collections.

Our previous main two collections were Roots Inc. CUSTOM and Roots Inc. LIMITED, and now the main collection remains to be Roots Inc. CUSTOM.
Our true love is the one of a kind pieces, really exclusive and individual clothes. That's what we are passioned about.

The CUSTOM items are either pre-owned or found their way to us in some other way. Every piece is carefully picked and customized with love. The designing and working process could take many hours and that's why we drop items randomly to the store -one week we may add 20 new items, on the other just couple. But in every week, there will be new arrivals. So if you like what you've seen so far, just stay tuned for more!

By doing this very exclusive business, the hardest thing is to keep it productive and profitable in daily basis. We could walk through a shortcut as so many others do these days, but we won't sell out, we won't change our passion for hype.

And now last but not any means least, we Really want to thank you all who have been a part of our journey, as customers or just helping us believe in ourselves. You are the fuel that keeps us going, burning hard, bless and love to you all -and remember to Rok on! ;)

Shooting with Katri Sorsa

We had a photoshoot last week with the lovely Katri Haapanen, better known as Katri Sorsa.
We took few pictures of Katri wearing Roots Inc. clothes, for her to use in her own  promotion and me to use in mine. The idea was to try something different from what she's used to and I think we surely succeeded!
Me myself, I prefer the casual street style with a hint -or usually more than a hint, of rock n' roll ;) And as some of you may know, Katri is used to seen with more glam up look in due to her work in show business. So this was a nice change for me and a bit of a challenge as well- all tough there was not a challenge in the actual shooting since Katri is a pro!

Big thanks to this sweetheart, we'll get together soon. Keep rokkin' girl!
